What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites may store on a visitor’s computer, smartphone or other device. They can be used to provide essential website functions, protect forms from automated abuse, remember user preferences and understand how visitors use a website. Similar technologies, including browser storage, security tokens and scripts, may serve comparable purposes.

How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

Towatrust currently uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
to protect forms and website processes from spam, bots and automated abuse;
to remember a visitor’s cookie preferences;
to understand how visitors use the website, where the visitor has agreed to analytics;
to maintain the security and performance of the website.
Non-essential analytics technologies should only be activated after the visitor has provided consent. Visitors must still be able to use the website when non-essential cookies are rejected.

Necessary and Security Technologies

Necessary and security technologies support essential website functions and help protect the website from spam, fraud and automated access. These technologies cannot always be disabled through our cookie banner because they are required to protect forms or provide a service requested by the visitor.

Google reCAPTCHA

Towatrust uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect website forms from spam and automated submissions. reCAPTCHA v3 operates in the background and evaluates interactions with the website to generate a risk score. Google may process technical information such as the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, website interactions and security-related identifiers. Because reCAPTCHA is currently configured through the website platform’s global settings, it may load on pages that do not contain a visible form. The use of Google reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s applicable Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cloudflare Turnstile Towatrust uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the Open Depot process from automated access. Turnstile performs non-interactive browser checks and may collect technical signals relating to the visitor’s browser and device environment. In some cases, it may display a checkbox or use cookies or similar storage where required by its configuration. The Turnstile verification token is checked by the Towatrust server before the visitor is redirected to the relevant partner platform. The use of Turnstile is subject to Cloudflare’s applicable privacy terms and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Cookie Preference The website may store a necessary preference to remember whether a visitor has accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. This prevents the cookie banner from being displayed repeatedly during every visit.

Analytics Cookies

With the visitor’s consent, Towatrust uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the website. Google Analytics may collect information such as:

This information helps us evaluate website performance and improve its content and usability. Google Analytics 4 commonly uses the following first-party cookies:

Google Analytics 4 commonly uses the _ga cookie to distinguish website visitors. This cookie may remain on the visitor’s device for up to two years. It may also use a cookie beginning with _ga_, followed by the relevant Google Analytics identifier, to maintain session-related information. This cookie may also remain active for up to two years.

Browser restrictions or Google Analytics settings may shorten these durations. Google Analytics should not be activated unless the visitor selects Accept Analytics or otherwise gives consent through the cookie banner.

Third-Party Websites

The Towatrust website contains links to external websites, including partner platforms and social media services. When a visitor follows an external link, the third party may place its own cookies or use similar technologies. Towatrust does not control cookies placed directly by external websites. Visitors should review the privacy and cookie information provided by the relevant third party.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When visiting the Towatrust website, visitors may be presented with the following options:
Accept Analytics
Reject Non-Essential
Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent access to the main website content. Visitors may also delete or block cookies through their browser settings. Disabling necessary security technologies may prevent certain forms or protected website processes from functioning correctly. Where a cookie preferences control is available on the website, visitors can use it to change their previous choice.

Withdrawing Consent

Consent for analytics cookies may be withdrawn at any time. Visitors can withdraw consent by changing their cookie preferences, where this option is available, or by deleting the website cookies through their browser and selecting Reject Non-Essential when the banner appears again. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when:
website technologies change;
new service providers are introduced;
cookie purposes or durations change;
legal or regulatory requirements change.
The latest version will always be published on this page with the date of the most recent update.
